You can create custom images based on default pre-configured image templates, configure them as required for a particular lab, and use these custom images to provide VMs for students.
To add a custom image:
- Log in to your SIT Alemira Virtual Lab account.
- Click Images.
- Click Create custom image.
- Specify the following parameters:
Image name — the custom image name.
Base image — the base template for the image.
- Click Create custom image.
- Wait until the VM starts.
- Configure the VM as needed. For example, install the applications that students need to implement your lab tasks.
- Click Save and close.
Now you can use this image to create VM instances for your lab.
