Adding custom VM images

You can create custom images based on default pre-configured image templates, configure them as required for a particular lab, and use these custom images to provide VMs for students.

To add a custom image:

1. Log in to your SIT Alemira Virtual Lab account.


2. Click Images.


3. Click Create custom image.


4. Specify the following parameters:
   
   
   
   • 
     Image name — the custom image name.
   
   
   • 
     Base image — the base template for the image.
   
   
   
   


5. Click Create custom image.


6. Wait until the VM starts.
   
   


7. Configure the VM as needed. For example, install the applications that students need to implement your lab tasks.


8. Click Save and close.

Now you can use this image to create VM instances for your lab.
