To make a course paid, you need to add it to the product catalog in the e-commerce panel.
To add a course:
- Log in to the SIT Alemira Open edX e-commerce panel (at https://{tenant}.ecommerce.alemira.com/courses/).
- Open the Courses tab.
- Click Add New Course and specify these parameters:
Course ID — the identifier of the course. You can copy the identifier from the address line when the course is opened in the SIT Alemira Open edX LMS Instructor panel: https://{tenant}.alemira.com/courses/{course_ID}/course/
Course Name — the name of the course copied from LMS.
Course Type — select whether it should be a certified course
Audit — a default track that does not offer certificates and does not require identity verification.
Verified and Audit — two tracks in a course with a possibility of upgrading from audit to verified.
Verified Only — a track that offers certificates and requires identity verification.
Professional Education — track for professional education that offers certificates, requires identity verification.
Credit — a track with initial verification and Verified Certificate, with an option to purchase a credit.
Course Seats — specify the price for each course track (for example, for Audit and Verified).
Upgrade Deadline — if the course contains more than one track, the deadline for upgrading the subscription to the course.
Verification Deadline — the deadline for learners to send photos to confirm their identity for receiving a certificate.
- Click Create Course.
