Assigning an Assignment Type to an assignment

Introduction

For proper grading and for the Gradebook to correctly reflect student grades, each of your assignments in the course must have an Assignment Type assigned.

You must also first configure Assignment Types.

How-to

An Assignment Type is assigned on per subsection basis. This means that all gradable components—problems, assignments, etc—in a subsection can be assigned one Assignment Type.

To assign an Assignment Type:

1. Log in to SIT Alemira Studio.
2. Navigate to your course.
3. Navigate to a subsection that has a gradable component.
4. Click the settings gear next to the subsection.
5. In the Grade as dropdown, select one of the Assignment Types that you have configured earlier.
6. Click Save.
