You can configure displaying correct answers to a learner in different ways. If the visibility setting configured per subsection enables showing the results always, visibility settings per component are applied. If the visibility setting configured per subsection prohibits or restricts showing the results, visibility settings per component are ignored.
(!) In some cases you might prefer to disable displaying correct answers until after the answers submission due date to prevent learners from sharing correct answers with each other (cheating). For example, when learners need to pass an exam.
To set up how the correct answers are displayed for a task:
- Log in to SIT Alemira Studio.
- Navigate to your course.
- Click Content > Outline.
- Select a subsection with a task and click the gear icon to open the task settings.
- In the settings pop-up, switch to the Visibility tab.
- In the Assessment Results Visibility section, specify how the result will be displayed:
Always show assessment results — learners will see whether the answer is correct and the score for it immediately after submitting it.
If this option is selected, the correct answers visibility settings configured per component are applied.
Never show assessment results — learners will never see whether the answer is correct nor the score for it.
If this option is selected, the correct answers visibility settings configured per component are ignored.
Show assessment results when subsection is past due — learners will see whether the answer is correct and the score for it only after the due date for the subsection has passed. The due date must be configured for the subsection. This option is recommended for exam tasks.
If this option is selected, other correct answers visibility settings configured per component are ignored.
- Click Save.
